Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris
"Dare to follow your dreams. Make the invisible become visible."
Mrs. Harris is a simple, kind-hearted widow housekeeper who's only desire is to be noticed. Upon seeing an elegant Christian Dior gown hanging in her client's closet, Mrs. Harris begins to dream of owning one for herself.
She decides to follow her dream and begins to save, scrape, work extra hours and even gamble to accumulate the funds needed to purchase her hearts desire and to travel from her hometown in Europe to Christian Dior in Paris.
This whimsical story now playing in theaters, accentuates the positive of following after your dreams; a film that whisks us back into time when British television and films entertained millions.
Once arriving at Christian Dior in Paris, housekeeper Mrs. Harris is faced with ridicule shame, and considered too improper to be in such a place compared to all of the elite society women there to bid on the most expensive, elegant designs in the world back in the 1950's.
But alas, once she shows them her $500 pounds in cash, it's game on, but not without some stiff competition from some stuffy, rich, snobby women who devalue Mrs. Harris solely upon her looks and profession.
Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris teaches us the importance of not letting setbacks deter us away from chasing after our dreams, even those seemingly impossible dreams. If you find yourself in a momentary lack of self confidence or low self-esteem, this is the perfect film to lift your spirits.
